Legislation applicable to the Queensland Cancer Register (QCR)

The operation of the QCR is legislated under Part 2 Cancer Notifications:

Division 3 - Notifications about cancer (sections 233-236)

• Directions to give notifications to the contractor

Division 3 Cancer notifications under regulation (section 45-48)

• Describes the type of cancer to be notified
• Prescribed person for keeping the Register – Metro South Hospital and Health Service
• Prescribed time of giving notification about cancer
