The Health and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2023 (Amendment Act) will, upon commencement modernise the Queensland Cancer Register (QCR) to more accurately reflect the impact of cancer in Queensland by extending notification requirements to diagnostic imaging practices and expanding the requirements of existing notifiers. These amendments are set to commence in May 2025 by proclamation.
Cancer Alliance Queensland is currently communicating will all stakeholders and is working with all notifiers to ensure compliance with these changes.
